Hi! Welcome to our blog. This is the result of two bored minds looking for something to do.

Oh. The Reason for LUCKY DAYS!

Hmmm.  I posted my friend Silvio -  as his lovely look is an inspiration for feather finding -  but I mentioned Barry and how he was my lucky charm for actually FINDING them.

Here is Barry!

Lucky Days!

Since I've started looking for feathers to "return to the trees" I have not been very lucky.  But it seems on the two days that I spotted Barry, the Otter, I have had VERY lucky days.  THREE feathers each day!

Now, I will honestly say that I get the photos of feathers confused hahahahah  I don't know which ones I have already taken  -  or which ones I have already posted -  but isn't that the point!  View them over and over and smile when you see them.   So that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

THIS is Silvio Feathers -  Wouldn't I love to find one of his feathers!

Here are a few new (and/or old) photos of feathers I have smiled at over the last couple days.

I HATE HATE HATE that you can't put photos side by side without jumping through HOOPS!  What is with that @blogger?

This is the previously hacked almost to non-existence
"I have my eye on you" plant!!  IT IS BACK!

I've got to figure this out.  I know I can create a table in MS Word -  but REALLY!?!?!?!

I'll be back!

Changing Directions For a Bit

While in Florida, I will be changing direction from BANANA RAMA DING DONG to "Feathers and Such"

A friend told me when she finds a feather, she displays it somewhere in the community.  Such a simple idea -  and I LOVE IT!  So I'm going to post "Feathers I Have Seen"  in this forum while I'm in Florida (along with any other surprise things that make me smile).

I would love to keep them "all in order" but I'm not really sure if that's even possible. So -  enjoy in whatever order they appear -  that's how I enjoy them!

So here goes.  I'll post a few when I can.

This was the very first one that Suzie shared with me... and it happens to be in my "touchstone tree"... I know -  we are BOTH WEIRD! BEFORE the tree guys mauled this lovely palm, I would touch the exact same (now I must google for a name) BOOT on the tree as I walked by!
"After fronds die and fall off, the frond bases, known as boots, form a spiked, crisscross pattern on the trunk."

She just happened to place one of her feather-finds in MY TREE - and neither of us knew this!

ONWARD -  Some other feather-finds or placements:

This was MY placement on HER favorite plant.  I call it the eyeball plant -  I'm pretty sure that's wrong hahahahaha

Maybe I placed this one TODAY!  I go for days and days and never see a free feather (the ones ON THE DUCKS/GEESE/IBISES/ETC are off limits hahahahaha
Today I found THREE!  LUCKY DAY!!!

This one is on the way home from the pool.  Makes me smile every time I see it -  EVEN NOW!

That's all for today.  I have a bunch more photos -  I'll add them on another day.
